luxury living in a galaxy far far away
14th May 2025 | Part 1 of 3 | Defining Culture | Ready-To-Design
THE world of Star Wars saw an end to one of its greatest storytelling chapter that brings together legends & cannon, binding past & present & affirming events & characters that went on to become heroes of the New Republic, defeating the Galactic Empire. Rogue One a movie released in 2016 is a prequel to Star Wars A New Hope which was released in 1977, & Andor is series that prequels Rogue One.
But we are not here to discuss that now are we? We are here because the interior world building in the production of Andor is breathtaking in details when it comes to depict wealth, industrial, order and various lifestyles & stage of diverse cultures through interior design elements. Part 1 of our 3 part series here focus is on Senator Mon Mothma's home in the galaxy's capital planet Coruscant. It is a place of commerce, politics & governance. A place glittering with galactic luxury seen from space itself as you enter it's orbit.
Golden Gilded Frames & Trimmings | BaGua Arches | Oriental Patterned Panels
The home of Senator Mon Mothma is very much like her character, complex yet steadfast. Her steadfastness can be seen through the use of Gold as metal of choice at the edges & trimmings set in an all white/marble looking ceiling to floor base is both bold & ornate by design.

High Ceilings | Grand Chandeliers | Large Windows Panes
The complexity of her character is channeled with the use of Oriental shapes & patterns as seen at entrances with BaGua arches or Oriental patterned door panels existing side by side, in design harmony. And to further accentuate luxury, every room can be seen decked with grand chandeliers o contrast the generosity of space. Such are the settings when diplomat hosts & deals are made at a planetary level, while plotting the downfall of an evil galactic empire.
