Weaving A Nation's Tapestry

"Negaraaku, tanah tumpahnya darahku..."

We designed the ceiling in bronze sheets that bends inwards in an uneven pattern simulating rattan weaving to symbolise our nations rich cultural history weaved together into a tapestry of love, sacrifice, wisdom & pride that flows down from the "Heart of Hearts", our beloved Grand Chandelier, at the centre of the hotel's heart beat, the Grand lobby...

"Rakyat Hidup, Bersatu dan Maju."

For the Rakyat, we designed the round seating sofa, nostalgic in design, yet very popular in establishments & hotels back in the 1920's.

Circular its shape, as it holds together people (and the sofa gets its poetic justice when people are seated on it) of a united nation, complete and well rounded nation, both country and its Rakyat always blessed by those who came before us.
